The School of Business at SUNY Geneseo invites applications for an anticipated opening as Lecturer in Data Analytics to begin August 2024. The initial appointment is for one year and eligible for renewal. Duties of the position include:
- Teaching four courses per semester (4-4 load), including undergraduate courses in the fields of data analytics and information systems, such as Data Preparation and Management, Statistics and Data Visualization with R, Data Systems, Introduction to Programming, Programming in Python, Machine Learning, Information Systems, or other courses consistent with academic preparation, professional experiences, and the emerging needs of the School.
- Developing data analytics curricula and programs/course content with applied learning activities, providing academic advising and mentoring to students.
- Holding other service obligations such as attending faculty meetings, serving on committees, supervising student clubs, and organizing extracurricular activities.
- Engaging in the School of Business and local/professional community activities to remain professionally qualified for the position.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a field relevant to data analytics or information science. The degree must be in hand by August 2024.
- Knowledge of Python and/or R.
- Demonstrated potential in teaching undergraduate courses in data analytics and/or information systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.
- Must be available to teach in-person classes and online classes.
