Position Summary:

We are seeking (2) Clinical Assistant Professor non-tenure track faculty in the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior, in the School of Public Health and Health Professions.

With a primary focus on in person and online teaching, this position will also make contributions to the scholarship and service missions of the School of Public Health and Health Professions. This is a non-tenure track, calendar year (12-month) position funded by New York State. The faculty will:

About the School of Public Health Professions
SPHHP offers programs at every degree level and is the home to departments of biostatistics, community health and health behavior, epidemiology and environmental health, exercise and nutrition sciences, and rehabilitation science. It is one of only a few schools across the country that includes both health-related professions and public health. It has a diverse student body which it is actively engaged in supporting. The School has an energetic equity, diversity and inclusion council and provides professional development opportunities in inclusive pedagogy and other equity-related issues. Faculty and students engage in research and community activities designed to improve the health of populations, communities, and individuals. Faculty in the School also engage with the University at Buffalo Community Health Equity Research Institute.

About the Community Health and Health Behavior Department
CHHB departmental faculty research interests include health disparities, emergency preparedness, judgment and decision-making, cancer, obesity prevention, physical activity, diet, sexual and reproductive health, tobacco use and substance abuse. CHHB houses academic programs that include two in person MPH programs (MPH in Community Health and Health Behavior and Individualized), a fully online Individualized MPH program, and MS and PhD programs in Community Health and Health Behavior. CHHB has a history of strong collaborations including with faculty from other departments in SPHHP, other Schools in the UB Academic Health Center (Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences) and with other University at Buffalo faculty. In addition, they collaborate with community-based organizations, small businesses, health departments and affiliated institutions, including Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute, the Clinical Research Institute on Addictions, the Veterans Administration, hospital systems, and other agencies in the region.
