We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and install software solutions designed specifically to promote inclusion and accessibility. Senior Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages like C#/.NET Core, TypeScript, C++ or Python. Our ideal candidate is familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment and have experience with cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure. Ultimately, the role of the Senior Software Engineer is to lead a team of software engineers/developers for the purpose of building high-quality, innovative, accessible, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Five years of proven work experience as Software Engineer or Software Developer
Five years of experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management via version control systems (Git), build processes, testing and operations
Five years of experience developing software/web applications with .NET Core or Framework (.NET Core preferred)
Three years of experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
One year of experience (three years preferred) with RESTful services and cloud computing (Azure)
One year of experience (three years preferred) with database (SQL, Mongo)
Fluent with imperative and object-oriented languages such as C#, Python, or TypeScript
Possesses wide array of skills across the Microsoft development stack
A winning attitude, self-motivated, personally accountable and determined team player, able to accept direction
Awareness of risk management and mitigation techniques
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields
Ability to communicate with wide range of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals
