Detailed Job Description
The purpose of the position is to support the information needs of Enrollment Management and the university through the analysis and communication of information in meaningful ways that promote data-informed decision making, planning, and resource allocation.
Sr. Research Analyst will report to the Director of Enrollment Systems and Analytics and will work with division and department leaders and other subject matter experts to define information requirements. These requirements will then be used to produce dashboards, analytics and information that will satisfy ongoing reporting and problem solving needs. This individual will manage, interpret and manipulate complex data sets. This individual must demonstrate consummate communication capabilities in assessing information needs from an array of professional staff and will possess expert skills in contemporary reporting and analysis tools (e.g. SAS, Tableau, OBIEE, PS Query, etc.)
Required Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in an analyst role; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to understand the requirements of a business operation, and build data solutions to answer managerial and strategic questions.
Demonstrated proficiency with Tableau or equivalent data visualization software, advanced knowledge of visualization techniques
Demonstrated proficiency with SAS or equivalent software. Advanced skills in creating and executing complex SAS programs
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to perform multiple file record matching and data manipulation
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to collaborate effectively with others
Ability to communicate effectively
Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects
