Clinical instructors connect with the WNY schools and the communities in which they are located to cultivate a rapport that is mutually beneficial to both the liaison school and the University at Buffalo.
In this role, the clinical instructor assists teacher candidates activate theory from coursework into practical applications throughout their clinical experiences. They accomplish this through the preparation and implementation of effective curriculum for small cohorts of pre-service teachers during their clinical experiences in the teacher education program. The clinical instructor also mentors and coaches the student through formal and informal observations during clinical placements.
In addition to the aforementioned roles, TEAs assist with administrative tasks within the Office of Educator Preparation, including the interviewing of potential candidates for our Teacher Certification programs.
This position requires travel to WNY school districts.

Masters degree in an education related field
7+ years teaching experience
Professional Teaching Certification in NYS (or other state equivalency)
Excellent communication skills
Established relationships with PreK – 12 school partners
