The Arany lab is focused on wound healing and tissue regeneration in the department in Oral Biology, School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo. The lab utilizes cell-molecular biology, biomaterials and biomedical devices to pursue clinical translational research to benefit human health. Besides academics, the lab actively pursue mutually interesting research with industry partners. A full-time research technician II position is currently available in the group. The position involves completion of lab safety and animal handling training prior to beginning lab projects. The individual is expected to participate in weekly lab and individual meetings with the PI, reviewing relevant scientific literature in preparation for the studies, helping with general lab organization and maintenance. Based on their projects, they may also need to perform studies independently with techniques such as histology, qPCR, western blotting immunohistochemistry and ELISA among others. The candidates will be expected to contribute to preparation of scientific manuscripts and will be acknowledged with authorship when appropriate. They are also required to work with under- and graduate students as well as clinical and postdoctoral fellows in our lab.
Associate degree in life sciences
Must be able to work independently with integrity
Experience with molecular or cell biology techniques and/ or rodent studies
Strong organizational and communication skills
Bachelors or Masters degree
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
