The SUNY Morrisville Liberty Partnerships Program is accepting applications for a grant funded position. Position for high-energy, self-motivated individuals to work with youth in school districts within Chenango County (Norwich City SD). Future employment based upon funding approval. Responsibilities include: liaison between school district administration, students and families. LPP Advocate is responsible for dropout prevention activities; individual and group advisement; field trips; service-learning projects; educational workshops; leadership development; tutoring and academic support; college and career exploration; and summer programming. Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight work required for special activities. After school hours are scheduled to serve students during the extended after school hours. Bachelor's degree required and preferred qualifications include: experience working with youth in an academic setting, strong problem solving skills, strong written and communication skills, ability to work independently and a commitment to providing leadership in building equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments. Salary is $35,308 annually (non-negotiable). Anticipated start date September 1, 2019.
