The Humanities Department seeks adjunct instructors to teach foundational and college-level composition courses. Adjunct instructors are hired by the department, the School of Liberal Arts, and SUNY Morrisville on a term-by-term basis as needed.
Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days and evenings
Minimum Qualifications for teaching college-level composition courses:
Master's degree in English, linguistics, or literature or Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in creative writing, or master's degree in any discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in English, linguistics, literature, or creative writing.
