Hagerstown Community College is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for a STEMM Technical Middle College Summer Bridge Assistant position.
The STEMM Technical Middle College (STMC) Assistant will assist the STMC Coordinator and STMC Instructors. Assistants will have an opportunity to work with STMC Instructors and will also be responsible for monitoring students during all Summer Bridge activities including field trips and guest speaker sessions.
The STMC Summer Bridge program will begin on June 24, 2019 and will end on June 28, 2019. Coursework will be offered between the hours of 9am - 3pm, Monday-Friday on the HCC campus.
There are two positions available and both will work a maximum of 37.5 hours during the week of the Summer Bridge program.
Education and experience - At least one year of post-secondary education; bachelor's degree in education preferred; experience working with advanced learners, low-income or potential first generation college students is a plus.
Skills and abilities - Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; positive written communication skills; proficiency in computer applications; ability to work independently and accurately; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students and others of diverse backgrounds.
