The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://gsll.unc.edu/) is seeking a superior and innovative instructor to teach introductory and intermediate Russian language courses coordinated by the Russian Program Director. This is a fixed-term, renewable, non-tenure-track position (Teaching Assistant Professor); a three-year appointment is to begin on July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will carry a full-time, 3/3 teaching load; duties will involve teaching and university service.
Education and Experience:
Candidates are expected to have familiarity with communicative methods and technologies used in teaching the Russian language at the college level. Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English required.
