The Poulsen laboratory, a neuroscience lab within the Department of Neurosurgery, is seeking to immediately fill a Research Support Specialist.
Using models of stroke and TBI, the lab is focused on the development of neurotherapeutics and diagnostics. This work is translational in nature and involves using rat TBI and stroke models to test neuroprotective agents and identify plasma biomarkers. The successful candidate will conduct cognitive and behavioral assessments.
The successful candidate will be working at the Downtown Medical Campus.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Master’s degree in a related field.
Histology and molecular biology experience with the preparation and bioinformatics analysis of plasma miRNA.
