Manages all databases, monitoring performance of the databases, managing the security of the data, and managing the flow of data between internal and external data sources in support of strategic goal to advance data science and data mining efforts across the organization. • Designs, builds, and configures Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Databases • Performs System Administration work on Windows Servers hosting SQL Databases • Performs daily operational DBA activities • Provides technical and business solutions for database needs • Evaluates, recommends, and integrates other Enterprise Applications with database environment • Manages and plans system storage requirements for the database system • Modifies the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers • Designs, implements, maintains, and audits system & database security • Controls and monitors user access to the database • Monitors and optimizes the performance of the database and queries • Designs, implements, and tests database backup and recoveries • Manages and monitors data replication & ETL process
Bachelor’s degree in information systems/computer science or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
REQUIRED SKILLS:Microsoft SQL Server (Advanced), Azure Database & Storage (Proficient), General Network Troubleshooting (DNS) (Proficient), Microsoft Windows Server (Proficient)
PREFERRED SKILLS: SQL Sentry, Powershell or Python, Microsoft Active Directory, Power BI
