The Office of Residence Life is seeking to hire a Residence Director. The Residence Director is a full time professional staff member responsible for administering a residential program for a hall housing 250-580 students. The position includes educational, managerial, and administrative functions to provide a residential environment reflective of the University's five core values of Quality, Caring, Diversity, Innovation and Service. The Residence Director supervises 6-18 RAs, and in most halls an Assistant Residence Director (full-time) or Graduate Residence Coordinator (graduate student), and main desk student staff. The Residence Director advises a community council, and participates in the development and implementation of residentially based learning communities (in some halls). Additionally, the Residence Director shares in duty responsibilities for a residential area of campus, maintains liaisons with a variety of offices and academic departments, and participates in department-wide committees and initiatives as assigned.
