The School of Management at Binghamton University (State University of New York at Binghamton) seeks to fill a position at the Assistant Professor level in the MIS area starting in mid-August 2019, subject to budget approval.
A suitable candidate's research will primarily focus on one or more of the following: information systems leadership, information systems alignment, crowdfunding, virtual teams/computer-mediated communication, social networking, IT security, IT in healthcare, online learning, IT adoption and diffusion, gamification, and user-generated content. The teaching component (2 + 2) requires delivering required/elective courses in management information systems at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop practical courses that integrate data analytics and machine learning technology with business and deliver them to business students.

Candidates must have an earned PhD in MIS by the start of the appointment. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to publish in the top MIS journals, as well as the ability to deliver top-quality classroom teaching. Faculty also participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally.
