The School of Management invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Data Analytics and Operations starting mid-August 2019, subject to budget approval. Binghamton University has established a health science initiative to integrate cutting-edge basic, applied and translational research in health sciences and health care systems. Applicants with strong methodological training in analytics and mathematical modeling are particularly desirable. We support quality research with a teaching load of two courses per semester.
The School of Management is accredited by AACSB and ranked among the top public undergraduate business programs. The school offers bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. programs. Binghamton is a substantial regional high-tech community with employers such as IBM, Lockheed Martin, Universal Instruments, British Aerospace, and United Health Services. Located three hours from New York City and one hour from Syracuse and Ithaca, Binghamton is a low cost of living regional medical/retail hub for 200,000 people. The successful candidate must have (or expect) a Ph.D. in Operations Management or related field prior to the start of appointment in Fall 2019. We seek candidates with strong commitment to high quality research and teaching in business analytics and operations management with interests in healthcare operations and related areas. Faculty also participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally.
