Syracuse University Press, celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2018, seeks an experienced editor to acquire books for its prestigious Middle East studies, geography, and regional trade lists.
The editor will transmit approximately 20 new titles per year, taking full ownership of projects from inception through peer review, board approval, contracting, and hand-off to production, collaborating regularly with colleagues in marketing and other departments to position books most effectively.
The editor will travel periodically to academic conferences. This position is located in Syracuse, NY.
