Reporting to the Assistant Provost and Executive Director, the Communications Manager serves as the communications liaison between Syracuse Abroad and the Division of Marketing and Communications. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with the Division of Marketing and Communications to develop fully integrated, comprehensive marketing strategies.
He/she must be a strong writer and editor as this individual will also develop and manage key communications to staff, parents, students and faculty oftentimes anticipating needs rather than responding to them. He/she will be expected to learn, and articulate, the many aspects of Syracuse Abroad and have thorough understanding of its goals and objectives across its many customers and stakeholders. This person will use his/her learned knowledge of Syracuse Abroad's programs and inner workings to facilitate the strategic plan development process. He/she must be a strong collaborator and effective communicator, with a keen eye for details and an understanding of the impact of nuances.
